GE Lighting Engaging Europe's Leaders in Sustainable Lighting in Copenhagen
GE Lighting will participate at the Lighting Urban Community International's (LUCI) conference the City Under Microscope in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 17 to 20 September.
LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International) is a unique international network bringing together cities and lighting professionals engaged in using light as a major tool for urban, social and economic development, with a concern for sustainability and environmental issues.
The City Under Microscope conference is being supported by the mayors of both Albertslund and Copenhagen, who see their cities as contributing to 'game changing' innovation in the area of lighting and environmental sustainability. As part of the conference, a new Living Lighting Lab will be unveiled. Developed by DOLL, a consortium that includes the Technical University of Denmark and the City of Albertslund, is leading on the development of this lab, which features live demonstrations of a range of innovative lighting technologies.
GE Lighting representatives will take part in the conference in order to share our company's expertise and learnings with other city leaders and lighting experts. Most notably, GE Lighting has its own Living Lab project that is being developed together with the city of Budapest. In addition, GE Lighting has developed the E+Grid installation in Budapest, which features adaptive lighting and off grid energy capacity.
More information about both of these installations will be available soon. Stay tuned!
Time: 17-20 September 2014.
Location: MusikTeatret Albertslund
