GE celebrates success at L+B 2012
GE Lighting is celebrating a successful year at Light+Building 2012. A huge number of visitors took a tour of the GE Lighting booth to see its wide range of energy efficient lighting solutions designed to enhance lighting quality and help reduce carbon emissions and maintenance costs.
The company's large booth, designed by the Italian designer Andrea Cerquiglini, drew admiration from many visitors, also for the extensive range of retail, office and outdoor solutions displayed. Visitors were introduced to the latest solutions including the complete range of the revolutionary Lumination® LED Luminaires. The groundbreaking range offers the first true alternative to LFL lighting within an office environment.
In addition, the booth showcased solutions offering end users energy savings and unrivalled light quality in every aspect of retail merchandising creating visually appealing retail displays that highlight the true colours of a variety of merchandise.
The booth also featured a wide range of outdoor solutions reflecting the increasingly crucial role outdoor lighting has to play in the safety and security of public places as well as the illumination of historical landmarks and buildings.
As well as posting content and videos on social media channels throughout the week, GE Lighting also ran a series of successful seminars on the stand. The seminars, which were delivered by specialist lighting experts Miles Pinniger, Andreas Shulz, Andrea Borsetto and Marco De Carli covered Office, Retail and Outdoor Lighting and were enjoyed by a large number of visitors across the first three days of the show.
Following GE Lighting's recent announcement of its first Zhaga-compliant products, visitors were also invited to view the lighting leaders full range of Infusion™ LED modules, which carry the Zhaga logo based on these modules being designed to the approved Zhaga ‘Book 5' specification for Socketable Light Engines with Separate Electronic Control Gear.
Light+ Building 2012 was also the platform GE Lighting to chose to announce the three finalists of its prestigious Edison Award competition. The three people selected for the award represent lighting design innovations for a museum renovation and expansion, a university addition and an institution's new headquarters building. The winner of the award will be announced at Light Fair held in Las Vegas later this year.
